Regional differences in the lung.

چکیده
(1) Decreased breakdown in the periphery of the albumin-bound 'B' chain. (2) Increased 'B' chain production in the pancreas as a result of some abnormality of insulin production. (3) Alteration in the hepatic or peripheral degradation of insulin, resulting in excess 'B' chain available for binding to albumin. (4) A subtle change in the structure of diabetic albumin allowing it to carry larger quantities of 'B' chain.

Regional Economic Differences in Iran Theory and Evidence
Increasing concern over the regional dimensions of national economic planning since 1970s, has constituted appropriate baselines for scientific analysis of regional differences The Iranian planning views in the pre and post revolution era have been examined in this article, based on both theoretical and applied study of regional differences. Then the types and degrees of convergency and/or dive...
متن کاملLung albumin accumulation is spatially heterogeneous but not correlated with regional pulmonary perfusion.
The contribution of pulmonary perfusion heterogeneity to the development of regional differences in lung injury and edema is unknown. To test whether regional differences in pulmonary perfusion are associated with regional differences in microvascular function during lung injury, pigs were mechanically ventilated in the prone position and infused with endotoxin (Escherichia coli 055:B5, 0.15 mi...
متن کاملDeterminants of regional differences in lung cancer mortality in The Netherlands.
Although regional differences in lung cancer mortality are likely to be attributable to regional differences in tobacco smoking, studies in various countries found only weak relationships. This paper aimed at explaining regional differences in lung cancer mortality in the Netherlands. In a first step, clues for the role of smoking were obtained from a detailed description of regional mortality ...
متن کاملModification of Source Strength in Low-Dose-Rate Lung Brachytherapy with 125I and 103Pd seeds
Background:Â A new treatment approach for most patients who have undergone early stage non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), is wedge resection plus permanent implant brachytherapy. However, the specification of dose to medium at low energies especially in heterogeneous lung is unclear yet. Objective:Â The present study aims to modify source strength for different configurations of 125I and 103...
متن کاملMalignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of the Lung: A Case Report
Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma (MFH) is the most common soft-tissue sarcoma which predominantly surfaces in the retro-peritoneum and extremity. MFH of lung is a very rare condition. The diagnosis is essentially through histologic examination. However, the invasion of the chest wall or other organs might help establish the malignant nature. We report a case of a 77-year-old man who had been prese...
متن کاملGenetic Polymorphisms of CCL22 and CCR4 in Patients with Lung Cancer
Background: An association between lung cancer and chemokines has been advocated in the recent years. This study aims at investigating the association between lung cancer and 16C/A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) (rs. 4359426) in C-C motif chemokine 22 (CCL22) as well as C1014T SNP (rs. 2228428) in C-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CCR4), which serves as the receptor for CCL22.Methods: Genoty...
